XRP’s Nasdaq Moment Nears: 5 Things to Know About Evernorth
XRP investors are about to get a new way to invest in the token through the stock market.
Evernorth Holdings completed its merger with Armada Acquisition Corp. Its shares are expected to begin trading on Nasdaq on Monday, October 12, under the ticker XRPN.
Simply put, Evernorth is a company holding a large reserve of XRP. Investors can buy its stock through a brokerage account without buying or storing cryptocurrency.
They own shares in Evernorth, rather than XRP itself.
Five Key Facts About Evernorth’s Nasdaq Debut
1. Trading starts Monday. The original October 8 launch was delayed by an administrative issue. Evernorth expects to ring Nasdaq’s closing bell on October 14.
2. Its treasury holds 473 million XRP. The company also reported approximately $300 million in gross cash proceeds before transaction expenses, making it the largest publicly traded pure-play XRP treasury company.
3. Ripple is among its backers. Other supporters include SBI Group, Arrington Capital, Pantera Capital, Kraken and GSR. Some investors contributed XRP directly.
4. It plans to put the XRP to work. CEO Asheesh Birla said Evernorth aims to “grow XRP per share over time.” Strategies include earning yield and investing in infrastructure supporting the XRP ecosystem.
5. XRPN is a stock, not XRP. Its share price will reflect the value of its holdings, alongside business expenses and investors’ confidence in management. It may move differently from the token.
What Could This Mean for XRP’s Price?
The listing could draw attention after XRP fell from about $1.50 on October 5 to around $1.40 by October 11.
Still, the debut itself does not require major new token purchases. Much of Evernorth’s XRP was contributed before trading began.
A longer-lasting XRP price recovery would depend on new token purchases, wider market demand or improving crypto sentiment.
Traders should watch what Evernorth actually buys in the coming weeks rather than assume a strong XRPN debut will automatically lift XRP.
