Grayscale Files S-1 for Worldcoin ETF, WLD Rises

Grayscale has filed an S-1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for a spot Worldcoin ETF.

Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart confirmed the filing on X on July 20, 2026, sharing a screenshot of the document. The move marks another step in Grayscale’s expansion into single-asset altcoin exchange-traded products.

Filing Details and Structure

The registration covers the Grayscale Worldcoin ETF, expected to trade under the ticker $GWLD on Nasdaq. Shares would be issued and redeemed in standard 10,000-share creation blocks, following the model used for Grayscale’s other digital asset trusts and ETFs.

This filing represents the initial step in the regulatory process. Grayscale must still secure SEC approval and submit a 19b-4 rule change for exchange listing before the product can trade publicly. Similar filings for other altcoins have taken months to reach approval and launch.

Worldcoin ($WLD) powers the World network, which uses the Orb device for biometric verification to create proof-of-humanity credentials. The project has grown to millions of verified users across dozens of countries.
